Anyone who works in Steamboat Springs should be able to live here whether they are seasonal workers, health care professionals, teachers, young professionals, families or retirees who have served this Community.
Ensure that future generations have clean water to drink, clean air to breath and healthy, easily accessible public lands on which to recreate. This is a decisive decade. Implementing and operationalizing the Climate Action Plan is a critical step to protect our rivers, open spaces and the natural beauty of our Valley, all of which are core to our culture, quality of life and economy.
Develop and expand safe and equitable multi-modal access throughout the City prioritizing pedestrian and bike infrastructure. Partner to create a robust system that removes vehicles from the road relieving congestion and reducing emissions. Work to ensure public transit meets the needs of all our residents.
Family friendly, safe vibrant neighborhoods, accessible parks & open space, our ranching history and unique events (4th of July parade, Winter Carnival, ski free Sundays at Howelsen Hill, free summer concerts, Pro Rodeo and more). These are the things that set Steamboat apart and the things that we as locals love about living here.
Support a strong local economy by ensuring the City provides the infrastructure essential for our local businesses to succeed, securing a variety of workforce housing options, and advocating for a wide range of child care options.
Collaborate and partner on efforts to create community-wide solutions. Support efforts to increase the availability and affordability of housing options including the joint CDOT/County/City child care and workforce housing facility.
